Lauren Ash Morgan is co-founder and artistic director of Speech of Fire, a newly formed theatre company. From 2014 to her appointment in 2019, she was artistic director for Seoul Shakespeare Company. The actress also worked for as a member of the SSC as a producer and composer of costumes/set designs, music director and coach for text in addition to serving as Artistic Director. For her last year she served as director of lighting and design for the production of SSC's King Lear. She had directed from the ensemble but in this the year that she made her directorial debut. In 1982, she was married to actor cum writer Michael A. Ross with who they have two children.
